Alexis Daria author photoAlexis Daria is the award-winning author of the Dance Off series, starting with TAKE THE LEAD (SMP Swerve) and DANCE WITH ME. A romance writer, artist, and native New Yorker, Alexis has a BFA in Computer Arts, but her most fulfilling job was as a group facilitator for a women’s empowerment community, where she coached other women in following their creative dreams.

It was a double finalist in the 2018 RITA® Awards, and won the RITA for Best First Book. It was also a 2017 Golden Heart® finalist, NOLA Stars 2016 Suzannah Contest grand prize winner, Chicago-North RWA 2017 Fire & Ice Contest winner, and North Texas RWA 2017 Great Expectations Contest winner. Alexis is also the recipient of RWA-NYC’s 2018 Golden Apple Award for Author of the Year.

On Sunday evenings, Alexis co-hosts #RWchat, a weekly Twitter chat for romance writers. She also serves as VP of Programs for the New York City chapter of RWA. Alexis is represented by Sarah E. Younger from Nancy Yost Literary Agency.
